It looks like a shiny version of the previous games, but that's exactly what fans like me want!

The serious has always given a loving nod to 'Jacob's Ladder', so it's interesting to see them pursuing the war veteran storyline.

I always think that silent hill 2 was the best release. The story had a human element that was not as strong in the others.

Yeah, I agree. I'd also add that the original comes a close second to.

The first game has to be given props to being something that we'd never seen before. The scenes in the school with the telephone, the video screens in the shopping mall.. all added up to a genuine creepy experience. The second game accelerated all of that, with the hospital being the ultimate moment of nastiness.
