I read about Prototype last year and it sounded pretty cool, a bit like crackdown but with more depth. After watching Gamespots 'On the Spot' feature i'm not sure. Looks a bit manic with the main character running around like a headless chicken avoiding the military and the infected masses. A bit like The Hulk Ultimate Destruction which I think was made by the same development team.

Anyone heard anything else about it.

Just when i thought i was in they threw me back out.

Bear in mind that the video footage was of an alpha build, so not necessarily reflective of the final product. It was probably an engine demo more than anything, and a way to demonstrate the combat element. As the developer said, there are elements of investigation thanks to the absorption of memories.

At the moment, it looks like an Assassin's Creed clone. And, in all honesty, whilst the first hour of that game was good, the rest was a boring and repetitive chore.
