anybody else got this what agreat game was going to hold off buying it as still got loads to play but the wife said she use to love mario on the snes ( when me and my lad would let her play back in the kitchen women ) but glad i did its a great game and the wheel is brilliant takes some getting use to but its fun thats what the game is all about.

online its faultless smooth as anything nearly forgot to pick up young fezza from work told him im playing with a plastic wheel and controlling a plumber on a kart

just gone to fetch another wheel so her indoors can play oh the life

Picked this up over weekend after seeing some positive reviews.

Its certainly different from other console versions, the passing and through balls work really well but in other areas it just seems too dumbed down. Shooting for instance is just a matter of shaking the controller, you dont seem to have any control over power the defending is also poor.

Sony have had exclusive rights to F1 videogames since 2003 but that has now come to an end after Sony and Bernie Ecclestone failed to broker a deal for an F1 game based on the 2007 season.

This means that for the first time since 1996, Formula One fans won't have a videogame based on their sport of choice.

Not that this is anything new - non-Playstation owners have had this problem since 2003 for the console market ....

This is for all you petrol heads out there. Is it as good as Forza 2? Well the graphics are far better on the cars, but not on the tracks them selves, there is some slow down but not alot but the handerling is subline, fantastic even orgasimtronic. There is no damage, whats going on there then? but all in all for a payable demo its very good oh and theres 16 cars on some tracks. It actually reminds me of pgr2 which i still feel was the best of the gothams if you have a ps3 and can read japanese, get it its well worth it.

Is it as good as Forza? You ask

Fantastic game this, although its very cartoony their is still lots of depth to it and its so addictive, The online mode is also very well done.

i was bought a ps3 for xmas and this is the first game that i have bought, well worth getting.

With so many cross format games, i will probably always get the 360 versions because of xbox live being superior to psn. Metal gear:guns of patriots, metal gear online and haze look promising in next couple of months .

Some Wii advice !!!

My beloved xbox is shortly going to be sent back to microsoft to be repaired. I have considered many options to enable me to sustain my gaming addiction such as buying another xbox off ebay and the selling again after the 2-3 weeks it takes to turnaround mine. Upgrading to an elite and selling mine upon it's return. My final option is buying a PS3 and sending my 360 away, after which i shall own both consoles.

I wouldn't say i had money to waste, and am struggling to justify buying both consoles (especially to my wife!!!), but would appreciate the opinion of those people who do own both console and how the alternate between the two?

Well got the game plus drums, mic and guitar and I must say it blows guitar hero 3 into the water for a start the guitar hasn't got that horrible click on the strum bar and you can also slide your finger down the fret keys, a far better piece of kit. The drums are fantastic but very hard to use only played them once so far but its just like playing the real thing(well I think so.) The mic's a mic at the end of the day but how it trys to teach you to sing is very good.

Graphics are nothing special about on par with gh3 but you can create your own person, Ive already done a daper Freddy Mecury.

What makes it better than any other rythm game though is the songs. Some classic stones and the who with a touch of modern and some cheesy rock songs.

and for once it lives up to all the hype it looks stunning for a wii game its mario at its best.
would love to give a more detailed reveiw but my use of words is more liking to an asbo teenager so ill just say if you own a wii this is a must have by a mile.

bought a wii by accident on Thursday. They happened to have one left in Woolworths when I was waiting for the bus so I bought it! So far Sophie has spent around 10 hours playing it compared to my one!

Just seen the new zelda demo for nintendo. I don't know if my standards are to high but it looks rubbish.

It's alright harking on about gameplay but come on if you bring a next gen machine out the graphics sould be better than this.

Is it just a cheap ploy by nintendo to sell us a cheap console(ie old tech in the machine) at an expensive price.

Its been along time since I've played anything on the ps3. But recently alot of friends who own Ps3's have brought Warhawk threw the Ps:Store, they all commented how good it was. So I decided to get it today. I played it a few hours and really enjoyed it. It plays like the bf series of games, but alot faster.

Just wondered if any other ps3 owners on the forums had brought it yet?. If so what ya reakon?.

my lad wanted some more games for his wii so i duly went to Gamestation to see what was on offer. he likes his platformers so they were selling 4 for £20 in the Gamecube section. good deal. so after choosing Robots, Ty the Tasmanian devil, Puyo Pop(i'm sure Brats knows that one), and Shark Tale, plus a 3rd party GAmecube controller(£7.99), off we toddled back home. happy days.

when we got home my son rushed to play his new games and put Robots in, everything was fine until he got to the end of the first level when he was offered the opprtuniyi to save his progress. no memory card detected in slot 'A'. hmmm, yes there is i thought, checked the front slot and sure enough there was a 1gig SD card, but on closer inspection i found that slot 'A' was by the Gamecube controller port!
surely they could have used the internal memory or the SD card slot as the memory backup for Gamecube games. its just more cynical money grabbing by the big boys. needless to say my son was pretty upset at being told he would have to start the level again until i buy ANOTHER card...

The first game was a laugh for twenty minutes, before getting rather dull and repepetive. But, from reading previews across the net, this game seemed to be a genuine step-up from that, what with its innovative use of the Wii controller. Ah well, I guess it's time to hit PlayAsia...

Hi all,

Just wondered if anybody has had there ps3 today. It would be nice to hear some initial thoughts on the console and the games.

I must wait till 2moro until after my car is diagnosed, to find out the damage, and wether or not I can afford a ps3. But I've got to say im so tempted.

I've heard there should be plenty of stock in the shops. Anyone been out and about to day?, to confirm wether or not this seems true. A console in stock at launch?????, its never been known before .

Gamestation have reduced this to only £19.99.

I picked up a copy yesterday after hearing some good comments from friends. Reviews have been a bit mixed.

It's one of the dumbest games I have ever played. I love it!

The closest you can imagine is an ATV game or Motorstorn with incredible speed, completely reidiculous physics and a completely retarded RAWK soundtrack. Basically you have to speed your way through various contry stages hurtling though hills and ravines using the Wii controller to steer. You spend more time in the air than on the ground, which is fine as you can change the direction your truck is pointing in the air.

It's the perfect Wii game. Short, funny, uses the controller well and is pretty different to amything else out there. Another perfect party game.

Right, this has probably been done before but I'd like to know what everyones all-time, numero uno, most favouritest game ever is.

For me it's Secret of Mana on the SNES. I got this for Christmas the year it came out, 1994, and must have played it through a dozen times since. Happy days. Just started playing it again in emulation form and it still has all the magic.

In a single moment of drunken madness i deleted my save file on zelda, thats about 20 hrs into the game. I am gutted

If anyone out their has a save file close to where i am up to, i could send my sd card in the post to copy the file.

I had just got to the great bridge of hylia where you jump over side side of the burning bridge into the lake underneath, this is just after you first visit hyrule castle town.

I had an hour or so with the Wii today, so here's some brief impressions.

Started off with Wii sports. What a laugh... control comes really naturally, once you've got over the fact that you look like a bit of a tit. The sensor sits under the screen, but you can be a fair distance away and well off centre (for when you're playing with more than one player for instance) and it knows where you are and what you're doing, no problem.

Tennis is fun, but I didn't get long on it and it'll take a bit of practice. You can put spin on the ball, though, and do shots like lobs if you wield the controller correctly.

The golf was great, and you use a proper swing - although I couldn't stop hitting the ball too hard, so hooked it quite a bit.

Baseball is fun: you only get to swing the bat, or pitch if you're fielding; the game does all the rest for you, so no base running or double plays etc. But it's fun standing there in your stance, waiting for the pitch to come over the plate. Then, if you're anything like me, hitting it foul by being too late on the shot. Pitching is good, too; make a throwing motion with the controller and away you go. No button down: fast ball. A button: screwball; B button:curveball; A&B button: slider.

The best one, for me, though, was the boxing. You use the remote and the nunchuk. I didn't realise, but the nunchuk has a sensor in it as well. So if you lift them both in front of your face, your boxer's gloves protect his face. If you jab forward with the controller, you do a right jab/cross; with the nunchuk a left etc.

Keep your hands low and you protect your abdomen, and punch at the body.

this would be a top two player game - and bloody knackering to boot. I was sweating after five minutes.

Not sure how good the longevity of Wii sports in single player will be - but it'll be a great laugh with a few mates, or the family.

I had a quick go on a Need for Speed game. Controlled the car with the nunchuk to steer at first, but then used the remote with its sensors. The potential is there, but I'd need more time to get used to it. Promising though.

Far Cry: some of you may be aware that fps games are not my strong point () but again, the control system is really innovative, and fairly intuitive - for me at least. Not sure how you experts will feel, because it's very different from using a normal console controller. For instance you jump by flicking your nunchuk upwards.

You can wield two guns, one fired by the controller, one by the nunchuk.

Again, one to spend time on and get used to.

Finally I had a go at the surgery game that you can also get on the DS. That's a right laugh: using the controller to pick out shards of glass and stitch people up or bandage them.

I saw a bloke playing Zelda. He was on it when I arrived, and still there when I left two hours later... It looked stunning. Using the remote to slash at things, the nunchuk to move and pick up etc. Could be the killer title for the console.

Sorry, I've gone on a bit. I'll sum up.

All in all, I was really impressed. If this doesn't pull non-believers into the gaming arena, I'm not sure what will. It is a really slick piece of kit, beautifully put together and simple to pick up and play. I hold out hope that this might be the thing finally to get my wonderful but utterly non-gaming wife into the fold.

And I want one.

Got my wii yesterday and very happy with it

Just one thing thats bugging me, the blue slot light flickers for a split second when you first switch it on and after that it never comes on,

In the manual it says it should flash when you insert a will or gc disc and when it is receiving data in wii connect 24, mine does not light up when disc in inserted but i am not sure if data thing works yet. After searching on the net it seems i am not only one with this problem.

I know its a small issue but its a little misleading when you see pictures of the wii with a a pretty blue light on

Does anyone else who has got one do the same thing???

I got zelda and rayman(wii sports is bundled), i love the bowling in wii sports, its very realistic, not really tried other sports yet. Throwing the cow in rayman with wii remote is very funny.

The info on the nintendo troubleshooting website contradicts what is in the manual, looks like i will rarley see the pretty blue light

I have an over whelming desire to get a ds lite. I have the ds and never get to play on it as my girlfriend and my other house mate are addicted to animal crossing. But I want a DS lite purely because of how good they look.

anyway was just wondering if any of you lot that had the original DS brick has already done this and what did you think of the difference?
