pardon my maths MG, but with 14 players and seven ties it means there will be seven winners, which then means 3 games (6 players) and one player left over in the next round. err, how can you have only one contestant without giving him a bye. looking forward to your quantum physics induced answer, oh Steven Hawking of xbox live...

how is that giving people bys?

just get the names into a hat (i just used the list you put up), draw them out and like i say, winner plays winner...it will be a quite quick thing as long as everyones playing, which then means in a couple of weeks we can play again.

Think about it, at the moment, its all even, and the winner will only play 4 games.

Nice and quick, meaning no one loses interest (PGR) and it will actually get off the ground (GoW)

no worries Pain, i'm dissapointed with the take up anyway, i've got eleven including me, so unless i get five more to make up sixteen i would have to give three players a bye into next round and even then somebody else would get a bye into the semi's.

so with this in mind the closing date to enter the Sweet F.A. Knockout Challenge Cup has been extended to Sunday 11th March @ 22:00...

Im affraid i aint gonna join in on this tourney flan. So i apologise.

After everything that happened ( Or didnt in the case of league ), I think im gonna stay well clear. I dont fancy arguing with anyone.

I'm not trying to have a knock at you flan. You put alot of effort into trying to organise the league, which i myself was grateful to play in. Good luck with the tournament.

Plus at the moment, im finding it very hard to get into any Xbox Live game at all. Most games on Live atm end up with some 12 yr old kid abusing people. And its so hard to get all of the myxbox guys in the same game at the same time. Or if you do, its normally a full room and Im to late to join in or whatever.

gentlemen(and you Chas/Fezza) i give you(drum roll please)the Sweet F.A. Cup, so called because you win sweet f.a.!

it will be a straight knockout cup, names to be picked by draw, on Wednesday 7th March, randomly in a game lobby for fairness. ties to be played home and away to eliminate lag issues. scores will be on aggregate, away goals count double if its a draw, so if the tie is all square after the home and away leg its extra time and penalties!

teams are to be chosen RANDOMLY by pressing the "x" button, i think, BOTH players must choose this team. the host can choose either league or international.

sign up here for inclusion in the first round draw. games can be played anytime starting Saturday 10th March, each round will last ONE week, so the second round will begin Saturday 17th March. if you can't make a tie you will be eliminated and your opponent gets a bye. this way there will be no hanging about waiting for games to be completed. only put your name in the hat if you are available over the next few weeks to be fair to others who can play.
