[hi all just thought i would introduce myself. i'm an older gamer - not sure if i'm the only one in the village - but who knows! just go me self a 360 for xmas and am having great fun. not very good at it , but i'm sure that will come. not able to get on the live website for some reason - been trying all night anyone else having the same problem.

anyone played the Darkness?

games i have .. The darkness. call of duty4. lost planet. that it i'm affraid - still on level 2 on all of them.

Hi there everyone!
Thought II'djust introduce myself to see if I can expand my friends list a bit.
It shouldn't be too hard as it contains exexactly 0 entries at the moment, which is kinda sad..
Anyway, I currently play GRAW 1 & 2, R6 Vegas, PGR4, Forza 2 and Sega Rally.
I'm not honestly very good at any of them, but I'll have a go and risk having my ego bruised.

I'm Jeff and I am an old duffer having just turned 50. I pride myself on being pretty trendy and up to date and I have been playing games for many many years, Mainly on PC. I have only recently got into Xbox 360 having got one for my birthday. I am trundling along nicely in COD 4 which I am addicted to. I am married to Karen who brings me wine while I am busy warring (Bless her) and I would love to get into some team games on COD4 or Halo 3 if anyone is interested. Hi just found this site, i have been on xbox for some years. I am 38, married one child. i have a limited time on the box due to missus hating anything that doesn't shop, show feuding families or soaps.

i currently go on live with my nephew who is too good at most games (damn youth).

Currently still own fully working speccy and amiga 500, my daughter owns a wii, ds, gameboy and psp.(spoilt brat)

games owned are prey, condemned,oblivion,pgr3,cod2,cod4,halo3,viva pinata,gow,r6lasvegas, graw1+2, perfect dark and bioshock.

would like to hear from anyone who likes the odd game without the usual abuse, sarcasm, shooting in the back or annoying chat.

Hello all.
its so good to see that there is gamers out there that enjoy the fun of playing games.Instead of being abused or swore at for not being good.

This is a classic example that happened the other night to me.

wife was at bingo we werent babysitting the grandkids or anything so i thought great relaxation time.
so of i go to the takeaway got chicken vindaloo (mmm lovely) put 360 on and thought i would try gears of war online.Well ends up in a game with all americans.Couldnt really understand what they were saying in the lobby lots of swearing and shouting.Anyway as the game started they all ran of (But not me) at this point my vindalloo had decided to repeat on me and i had heartburn.
American kid says "hey dude you with us or whats up"
i said "excuse me a minute i have heartburn"
American kid says"you sound like old man how old are you"
I said "45"
American kid says"F**k O** and have a heart attack and die in someone else's game"
I then left the game and decided not to try again.

So just looking for friendly people to have a good relaxing game and good banter with online.
Sorry for the long greeting i tend to waffle on in my old age.

Hi, I'm Joe and I just got a 360 at Xmas! I have a wii as well which is kinda fun but I've wanted a 'proper' console for ages. I was hoping that thru this site I might make a few friends on Live that I could get together for a few games with - I have Halo 3 (which I'm playing mostly) COD4 (which is very cool but I'm really rubbish at) and Forza 2 (which I haven't actually played yet). I don't have much time for gaming (an hour or so at night maybe, a bit more on weekends) but I'd really like to become an active member of the community. Am I in the right place? Thanks!

I'm limited to the time I get to play these days, some days I can play all day, other days nothing. I'm getting fed up with trying to find a decent game on XBL.

Some of you may remember me being on Live on the original Xbox, my Gamertag was William Gates. Use to be on most nights with the guys from this site, mostly playing PGR, Ghost Recon, Midtown Madness and MotoGP.

Well I went to live in the States for a few years and never really got into gaming out there. Am back living in the UK now and bought a 360 with me (Halo Sp Ed.). So am back on Live since xmas and have a few games.

Hello, I keep meeting up with some of you and having a laugh so here I am to poison your perception of me with a rapidly middle ageing view of life.

I'm 37 and thanks to 2 pesky sons look no more that 50. No amount of pro-reticules and peptides are going to help this face. I've decided to try sleeping on a bed of pig-fat. Not to help with the ageing but because it ensures my vegetarian wife doesnt encroach on my half of the bed with her cold cold feet.

I play for fun, which is lucky because if I played professionally I'd be poor and miserable.

So if you're o line, and you dont have a full quota of grumpy old people who have only limited skills send me an invite.

Hi all after alot of cajoling,persuasion,threatening etc off taberoo i have decided to give online gaming another go (my last attempt was 2005 with SW:BF as profion, short lived as it was) and to be honest was put off by twits who whole idea of fun as to cast insults,be bigotted,racist,ageist etc etc you get the picture.

i'm a old git (49) and dont mind getting my ass kicked as trust me i will as i'm too damned used to a mouse and keyboard but as the saying goes practice makes perfect i suppose and having fun is what its all about.

currently owning COD4,Ace Combat 6,Halo 3,GOW,COD3 and some single player stuff eg Assassins Creed,Mass Effect. oh i forgot Guitar Hero 1 & 2 when my old wrists allow for it.

No contacts on my friends list whatsover apart from taberoo and Ferrino (whatever name he uses no doubt taber or chas will rectify me ) so would'nt mind some adds, thanks for reading guys and gals

Evening, chaps!

I've been AWOL for a couple of months, thanks to a brief spell abroad because of work. But now I'm back in good old Wales and looking to get back into the trusty 360.

I won't be on Live for another couple of days yet as I'm on dial-up whilst I wait for my DSL line to be reactivated. Hopefully I'll be back on the weekend and rocking out to Forza 2.

What games are you lot playing at the moment? I've been completely out of the loop lately.

Just thought i'd say hello. Just got the xbox360 last weekend and got it online today. I haven't signed up for the gold membership yet, just downloaded a demo and some trailers to get a feel for things.

I have 2 games, Crackdown and Gears of War. Played Crackdown online today, by myself. Can someone explain how the co-op stuff works, in terms of what you do and what strengths your character has.

I only know 2 people who have xbox360's and neither are online.

I'm 38 and live near Dunfermline in Fife and played games for a very long time - I have owned a zx81, zxSpectrum, Sega Master System, gameboy, playstation, PS2 and a Wii. My faviourite games are platform and Third Person, Resident Evil 4 was the best game recently played.

How do all, Furious here from sunny Great Sutton, on the borders of the Wirral penninsula.

I've met a couple of you guys all ready and some will even know me from a certain PC game that shall remain nameless ("Dankretch" was me *cough*) plus I work and am good mates IRL with the numpty Blibby.

Little bit about me: henpecked drunkard into guitars, motorbikes (currentlly riding an 02 slightly modded Bandit) gaming and a million other pass times.

Games wise I'm a sore loser (but only against Blibby ) all though he can't touch me on guitar hero Love racers, FPS's and rpg's.

Couple of quick notes: Aiden shall hence forth be known as "14 seconds" and "Hey Chas can you shoot the tank through this gap?"

Gooday all. Just got myself a 360 and I've heard good things about the community here from acker and G, so thought I'd pop by. Also had a nasty online experience so far on the 360, with only my mates being worth playing with, so thought this would be a good place to start finding non-12 yr old players. Hurah!

Only playing GoW and Crackdown atm though, although I'm probably going to trade in some old stuff and get myself R6. Anyways yeh hope i'l find a few decent adds here :p

Just purchased my 360 with GOW R6V and GRAW2.

Played online but had some pretty bad experiences so I have come here for some advice and meet some new players.

I have played a few games of GoW online but I got a voice message from an american guy telling me to get the F out or they will stab me in the face.

So can anyone give me some advice or point me in the direction of some newb friendly GOW, R6V and GRAW2 players.

I am 31 and mostly play gears of war online and a bunch of single player games + have just bought crackdown for some co-op and will hopefully play some halo 3 beta + online when it comes out.
