I'm closing this now as I think it's run it's course and some of the conversation, which I've since removed, had taken the discussion in a slightly different direction with rather more serious implications. Although I appreciate was only meant as a joke, combined with the existing topic could have been misconstrued in other ways, although for once it wasn't Flan's fault .

lol, careful!!! - As in blatantly playing the game on the xbox/xbox live system days before release so they could quite easily trace you and ban you directly, compared to your gamertags, agreed slightly misguidedly, being posted on a small internet community forum that no bugger visits.

few shops have sold Gta I've seen posts elsewhere even with box and reciept photos I know local shop owner so managed get it from him myself.. Seen a few on ebay aswell in stock priced at about £120+ I think they was asking for ! Lol
I'll try it again later if anyone is on I was abit lost last night on the modes and by the
time I'd figured out what was going on we'd change to new mode lol.

Read in a review (1up i think), they created their own game mode in free mode called` king kong`. One team is perched on top of empire state building with rpg`s while other team buzz round the building in choppers trying to wipe other team out. Sounds a riot !

Thursday night was the night it appeared on net for the cheaper release ....hmmm lol
I've actually got it myself now but was abit unsure if i should go on it or not so just played past 2nd achivevment on offline profile may aswell go on proper profile later i think as few other people seem to have it too .

MS wont ban you, as its the companies 'fault' for getting it to you early. However, you will notice that you cant get achievements until its officially available. Usually the day before release the achievements become active.

Guess it stops achievement whores/takes something away from the experience.

that can't be right, if the game arrives on monday your gonna play it. microsoft aren't gonna ban you for playing something you bought legit.

Had a look on th xbox.com forum and there are people playing it, must have hot their copies yesterday. They have started posting vids on youtube.

see, i only buy films every so often, and even then.....ill watch them only every so often and the bonus discs, if there are any, may never get watched. The bonus stuff with GTA will either actually be used, or flogged on ebay

The multiplayer in gta4 makes it a must buy for me

I hardly play on Live these days (not always by choice I am not into the games being played) I've looked at the multiplayer but it has to have a solid single player as well for me - I don't enjoy the gameplay of GTA games unfortunately so it'll be white elephant if I get it.

Yep. While reading the book and listening to the CD.

I figured people would order the standard edition more than the ltd ed one, giving me more chance of getting it for tuesday.
Plus, its bonus month, and the lock box could come in handy for something.

why waste your money on the not so special edition? or are you really gonna walk around town with your rockstar duffle bag and key chain? sounds a bit rubbish and not sure its worth the extra 30 quid.

Contredictary to earlier previews, the ps3 has the technical edge of the 360 version according to ign. The ps3 version has better load times(because of install), less texture pop up and less frame rate drops. Will still be getting 360 version more likely because of live set up.

As for past gta games sk, i have never finished any of them, i just got so far in and then just could not be bothered. San andreas was probably the best, i got to the area 51 mission in that one i think. Jumping of mount chiliad on a motorbike with a parachute was fantastic The multiplayer in gta4 makes it a must buy for me

yeah mine is also in 'processing' which says it is currently awaiting payment, even though they took that yesterday! hopefully it should be here on tuesday then, not that ill be able to play it cos im going to the man u match

i think the multiplayer is going to be fantastic

Ive ordered from play, the special edition, its currently in processing and seeing as its £70, it will be coming by parcel farce, so should get it for tuesday.

I did ring play up, and the guy said that I will get it for tuesday.

I find the GTA games incredibly dull to be honest I enjoyed the one with the retro theme and the 80s music but it was only because of the music - and this looks no different - seen one, seen them all in my experience of GTA games.

10/10 from oxm followed by another perfect score from ign , cant wait for multiplayer. looks great
