Could anyone posting news please note the following as this will help keep the main page formatted correctly. In some cases not following these tips may end up breaking the main page, so please be careful.

 

If your news item is only one line or paragraph, please press enter a couple of times at the end of the last sentence.

 

Please don't post links or pictures as the first thing in a news item.

 

If more than one paragraph shows in the news item on the main page, editing the news item and removing the spacing between the first and second paragraph then adding it again with the enter button can resolve this. This may or may not be a problem depending on the size of paragrahps.

 

Quite a lot of issues can be resolved by removing formatting tags by clicking on the HTML button when editing a post, removing the tags (enclosed in < >, such as <DIV>, <BR> etc) then going back to Design view and spacing text with the enter button.

 

Please always check how the main page looks after adding news in case of any problems and please also check your spelling.

 

Sorry if this sounds a bit complicated, we will be trying to tweak things to try and catch any situations where it breaks the main page.
