| Ladies and Gents, as of time of writing there are 4 of the 16 available slots left in the Tartan Terror Worms Championship!
The championship is played over 5 weeks (plus tie break if necessary), all games being played at 8pm on Mondays. Expected to begin on the 26th March.
Up for grabs are some classic PC based worms gameplay, some loosely related worms DVDs and the Tartan Terror Worms Championship Rosette!
If you're interested in a slot please post here and I'll offer further details via PM.

| | This wasn't a pimping attempt. I'm not as regular as I used to be but I've been around myxbox for almost 3 years now and surely I'm not remembered as a pimp..? We've invited people from CwNN, TMA, DVDF and thought I'd do the decent thing and invite some old friends from myxbox. Sincere apologies if this was unwelcome.

| I moved it here as I thought it a more apporpriate place. The Tournaments forum is really for us to discuss, organise and run our own tournaments. I know you've been around for a while Nivek, but that was your first and only post for nearly 5 months which was to get some people to make up the numbers for your own sites tournament. Pimping by any other name  . That's not suggesting you were trying to boost your membership or anything like that, but you were still basically pimping your tournament. Nothing wrong with that but I just moved it here as I thought it more appropriate. It's not like it's hidden away, it would still show as a new thread whichever forum it was in so people still have the same opportunities to view it. So I can't see what the problem is, if it was unwelcome it wouldnt be here at all.

| | But being moved to this 'pimping dump' kind of encourages other members to ignore it. Invitation is entirely in good faith and in no way a recruitment drive (we've never needed to). We've deliberately gone outside TT to encourage a friendly clan/community rivalry factor. Its only been made in places I knew well and which I thought knew me well. The invitation has been much appreciated elsewhere. I've been involved in some successful tie ups between myxbox and other places before, such as GameGeezers aswell as TT. I sympathise with the Spammers and Pimpers problems but effectively 'dumping' anything which isn't entirely myxbox internal is not a very social policy.

| Nivek, The fact is you haven't posted for nearly 5 months, you only posted to get some people to fill the remaining few places in your tournament and this post is as freely available for anyone to read as it is elsewhere. What forum it's in only makes a major difference in one of several ways you can view posts on this forum. Would you have posted if you hadn't had your tournament to pimp? No, your sole reason for coming back was to pimp, so why the big deal over me choosing to put it in the most appropriate forum.

| | having not been around for perhaps as long as you have nivtek im sure your reason where truely honourable ,but then surely myxbox internal is not a very social policy the "social" thing to have done would have been too pm and ask if anyone would have minded it being posted ,

I'm much more a lurker than a poster these days. However, I'm still very fond of myxbox, I'm still probably checking myxbox weekly, but very rarely post and rarely bother signing in.
Some of the current participants from CwNN I originally knew through myxbox and thats what prompted me to see if anyone else from myxbox would have been interested.
Clans only work by having good relationships with other clans, this isn't necessarily true of community sites so I probably shouldn't have assumed your interest.
Porbably best I retract the invitation. Apologies for the agro caused, won't happen again.

How was moving one of your 400 posts labelling you a pimp, rather than the one thread? Whether a lurker or not you haven't participated in anything for 5 months and the only reason you have now was to pimp. No amount of lurking changes that. At the end of the day I only moved a post to a more appropriate forum. I didn't make any decisions on whether anyone would be interested or not, that's down to them. The only agro caused seems to have been to you for daring to move your post!! If I'd just deleted it I could understand the reaction more, but I just moved it to somewhere more appropriate (I have a feeling I've said this before ). Really Nivek, get a grip m8, this whole 'discussion' was totally unnecessary.
