| | Just watched my copy of blade Runner on HD DVD people this digital transfer is fantastic never seen a HD source look this good if you have a HD DVD drive get this version of a classic movie it looks like a different film, I'm still in shock i can't believe the deference between this and the standard DVD. Get it Get it Also I got a free CD of the soundtrack which is nice.

| Tempted to get this - although I fear the ending will take up more space on the disk than the movie itself Darryl Hannah did exact same death throes in Kill Bill II as she did in this - or at least very similar - as an aside.

I dont understand why but both the hddvd and even the blue ray set comes on five disks. £22. or £62 for the silver briefcase.

| | I got myself this for christmas but its the 5 disc dvd set in the tin (was £17.99 from play) not hd or blueray just standed dvd. I not seen this film before and it comes with 4 different versions so im just wondering which is the best one to watch and if there is really that much difference between each one.

Wow there's a huge debate right there. I love this movie and I've seen 3 versions of it but I think there's 2 more and people get really tense arguing about it! It just depends whether you want narration or not, a happy ending or not but mostly its the same great flick! Curiously, Ridley Scott said the director's cut really isn't, its just one they did with his permission cos the studio wanted it.
I think there must be something wrong with me when it comes to this movie, cos I'm usually really fussy about films, esp sci-fi, but I couldn't care less which version of this I saw-they're all great!
Just out of curiosity, which one did you watch, and how was it??

| | hmm I think it makes it pretty different, i saw the original cinema release at home many times when I was young and my aunt took me to cinema in the early 90's to see the "directors cut". I just remember the movie having a very different feeling to it. I prefer the narration in the movie but i prefer the things that the later version implies.
