Lets not have the arguement about the fact that its going to be a dead technology - because thats exactly why you can get this bit of kit so cheap now.

Amazon are currently selling this for £35.

However - PC World will price match that plus 10% of the difference. So because they still have it in-store at £115, then the difference is £80 - so they'll give an extra £8 off taking this bad-boy down to a meagre £27.

Dead technology or not - it may be worthwhile at that price as I hear it does a pretty good job upscaling normal DVDs and hopefully HD-DVD will become cheap as chips over the coming months also.

I am pretty sure that there will soon be a stand-alone Blu-Ray device for the 360 - in fact you may see it integrated one in the future now there is a clear winner in the format war, so you may want to take that into account. But again - at £27 surely its worth a try?

I bought it as soon as it came out, only have 2 hd dvds....but to have 2 trays is so handy.

Keep a series DVD in, at a marker.

Play a game for a bit, then when I go, put the DVD on without swapping discs or going into the menu system.

Good stuff.

Whatever was mentioned in the previous post, just remember...it isnt as good as COD4 is it.

Yup, there's bound to be some cracking HD DVD bargains around.

I've just picked up an X360 HD DVD drive and 11 movies on ebay for about 80 quid.

Way I see it, I've picked up the movies for £8 each, with an HD DVD drive chucked in for free.

That'll do me for a good while...

cheers

Yeah I really cant wait until the prices of HDDVD start to drop, still a number of movies I want in HD dont care what format they are in but if hddvd are going for the lowest price and have the most features thats what I will go for. currently have 13 red movies most importet around 17quid ...im not bitter.

prices look pretty good, it runs through amazon.com will order from them see if its ok.

*hmm picked up blade runner in the tin for around 35 quid, would have ended up paying more than double that if I ordered it back in january.

seems that they are a third party and simply link you to all the best deals on amazon posted can be a little steep on some of them

1 of Jet Li's Fearless $16.95
Shipping & Handling: $12.29
Your Total: $29.24
