In you're dreams sunshine .

Nice to see we've taken over half the league now, will be a shame not to be playing with you all next season when we go up (ok, realistically the chances of that happening are slim if any of you have looked at my sons teams ).

I can see there will be a few of us crowding round the PC at the LAN come 8pm on Saturday night .

I appear to have signed up as Leyton Orient.

Quite what to do next, I have absolutely no idea - though I see Flan and I are pitted together in the season opener on Saturday...

(I've never played a footy management sim in my life. Any tips?)

Throw everyone forward in the most aggressive ways possible.

Used to work on champ manager when I could be arsed looking at a spreadsheet in the name of fun.

Whatever was mentioned in the previous post, just remember...it isnt as good as COD4 is it.

Looking at my team's stats (now why didn't I do that before signing up...?) I fear you may be right.

But not without a fight, pie-man, not without a fight.

I'm already making some blind fumblings in the transfer market, and hope to sign a Paraguayan no-hoper in time for our clash on Saturday.

I reckon 4-3-3 and all out headless attack a la Ossie Ardiles or Kelvin Koogan is the way to go.

A couple of tips from my sons who have been playing this a while.

Keep an eye on the new players in the Game menu, apparently some good players come up there that are clubless so you can get them cheap.

If you bid on a player that belongs to a club that's managerless the player will always accept your offer if it's over the Chairman's valuation.

Bearing that in mind I've been using the Search function (under Setup > Transfers) to find players to bolseter my squad.

Also keep an eye on your players rating they fluctuate quite a bit. I had originally decided on my provisional team but the next day I noticed that a couple of players that were 77s had both dropped to high 60s and somone else that was low 70s had gone up into the 80s (the jumper round the shoulders was the giveaway )  so keep checking.
