Just had 30 mins on free roam mode with flan, within those 30 mins we had such a laugh, carnt wait for the weekend to be able to spend some more time on it with you guys.

I've now found the choppers on free roam mode, and they are excellent to control, surprisingly .

I had a ball. Funniest game ever. Chas and I were circling each other for a tense knife-fight and splat! someone went straight thru me in a sports car. I almost wet myself! When you play open world games there's always a sense of 'I wonder if I can [something random] here.....' The thing about this game is that more often than not, you can.

lol, think thar was me everyone couldnt stop laughing

i've played a couple of missions in single player and the city is massive, loads to do. the mobile phone is a good addition, well implemented. as Pain said we managed to get half an hour in on free roam, just to get used to weapons and controls. the radio stations are varied and cater for every taste, including jazz! i was driving along listening to Godley and Creme's "Cry" while shooting passers by out of the window at one stage, very surreal...

had a two hour session with the usual suspects last night, Chas, Dante, Jestor, Taber, Ferrino, 70'sJoe, AidenC, Reevesy etc and to start it was a good laugh, loads of modes to play, team deathmatch, cops n robbers, turf war etc. it's total mayhem of course, with people being shot/stabbed/blown up/run over by the opposing team and of course by your fellow teammates. after the session i didn't feel that i couldn't wait for tonight, like i did with COD4, i know, i know, totaly different games, but i just didn't get that "just one more go" feeling, don't know if it was the same for everyone else.

whether this remains a favourite of the guys is open to debate, only time will tell, but i'm thinking that we all want a bit more sophistication from our games and mindless violence in small doses, say at the end of the night. the racing was good fun tho', tearing around in ice cream vans...

who says you can't polish a turd...

I have to say im loving multiplayer, I think the few of us who havent had the game for over a week now are getting used to what to do and where to go etc, so the games are getting a bit better, rather than a 2 minute massacre.

Yeah, it can be mindless violence, but the cops n crooks games are getting better, with a couple of good chases here and there. Think there may have to be a gentlemans rule or two thrown in, like crooks get a minute headstart and no bloody boats

Although, saying that, stealing a Zonda and tear arsing down to a dock, only to see the crooks just fly past on a boat was quite funny, I probably would have caught up sooner if I drove round to the other side of the dock, rather than swim over to it to get a boat.

The Cannonball run and point a - b races were a blast, much better than the standard GTA race, with Aiden and myself in a battle for 1st place, me in a car, him on a bike with me trying to shoot his wheels or knock him off.

All with the comedy stylings of Jestor and Ferrino.

Godd stuff, I think more of the same tonight, put down the copy of COD4, its rubbish

--------------
Whatever was mentioned in the previous post, just remember...it isnt as good as COD4 is it.

The ice cream van race last night was funny as feck. And who was it that jumped into the sports car halfway through but still managed to finish last?

Whenever I see Cannonball Run, I'm always going to think:

"Ooooh! He looks like a young Burt Reynolds!"

Class. Cheers for the games, chaps. I'll have to jump on more often.

The multiplayer is a blast, and as MG said the cops and crooks games are getting a lot more fun now we have played them a bit, and the A-B races were also good, i remember i was winning the race with about 200m to go and thought id try a sneaky short cut only to find myself in someones back garden, so i jumped out, hopped over the wall and ran the rest shooting at the rest of you as you's drove by id like to try some of the other modes as ive only done GTA race, deathmatch and cops and crooks so far surely there must be some other good ones too

Going to cinema tonight but should be on after it about 11.30 if people are still on

Games: Orange Box, Rainbow Six 2, COD 4, PES 2008, Guitar Hero 2, Bully, Frontlines
