| | i can't beleive we are two weeks into Euro 2008 and there hasn't been a single comment. so, i thought i would add impressions on the tourney. i've enjoyed it very much, most of the games have had some great, open play. there have been one or two surprises such as Turkey progressing to the semi's via a great spirited win against Croatia. Russia have realy surprised me, i was sure the Dutch were going to beat them. it's a shame the two host nations, Austria and the Swiss were knocked out early doors, but hey, just like England, Wales, Scotland, N. Ireland and the Republic of Ireland THEY WERN'T GOOD ENOUGH, there are dozens of European countries who i'm sure are feeling the same, that they deserved to qualify. so get over it and enjoy it for what it is, a celebration of European football. at the moment i'm watching the chess game that is Italy v Spain, not a classic as yet, but hey, extra time and pens could be next! so you can pretend your not watching it, because if your a football fan you will be. but if your a jingoistic, Bowler hat wearing, brolly carrying xenophobe carry on enjoying your sour grapes and crying in your milk. if your so short sighted it's your loss. HA!...

| I've only caught a couple of games but it has nothing to do with England not being there - I actually dislike watching England play it frustrates me to watch players that are outstanding just fail to play as a team whereas other nations have arguably lesser quality players but play together really well. Anyway - France vs Holland I enjoyed a lot and also Russia vs Holland. I didn't watch last night's game but by all accounts I didn't miss much.

| ive watched every game so far im impressed with turkey and russia i think russia might win the cup they just seem to have more fighting spirit than other teams..

| Watched a few games, some interesting games, well ok, maybe only in the last few minutes in some of them (but what a few minutes). Good to see some underdogs get their day, but for me unfortunately it's on the cards for another German win. Although now I've said it I'll probably be proven completely wrong, although in this instance I don't mind  .

| | I've watched the games which the so called "Bigger teams" have played in. Holland were brilliant in the group stages, but were out played by russia. France were complete pants. Italy werent much better. The last couple of spain games I've watched have been quite dissappointing. I expected more from them ( The team I picked to follow threw the tournament ). As for the winner, Maybe Germany ( Kills me to say it ). But I wish Spain could do it  . But I wouldnt be surprised if Russia came threw as they have played really well. 4 yrs ago Greece won it. And this time round they were the worst team in the competition?!?!. Its a funny old game .

| should be mandatory to have england in euro 08... how can you have the russias there and no england.

| | Yeah what pisses me off is they will start complaining that England dont have time to train together etc. Well I imagine they did have those two weeks in their diaries before the Crotia/Russia matches. So imo they should be made to train for two weeks and made to sit down and watch every match. The tossers dont really care if we dont qualify because there minds can switch to swanning of on some beach holiday or hiring a 3M $ boat etc. The thought of two weeks training and watching the world cup may buck their ideas up.....should be like cricket where its more like a contract to play for England.
