| As a long time Ferrari fan I've read this play on the initialls of the motorsport governing body lots of times when the conspiracy theorists claimed Ferrari get "help" from the FIA. Rewind a few days to Magny-Cours where two things happened. Heikki Kovalianen was given the most ludicrous place penalty I've seen in a long time, and Kimi Raikkonen was driving around with his exhaust flapping around which eventually flew off. Lewis Hamilton was also penalised for cutting a chicane when he blew past Sebastien Vettel and was unable to get his car turned in when he reached the Nurburgring chicane. We only have footage from Lewis' in-car which is largely inconclusive but it was footage from the circuit's closed circuit tv that was used - which is conveniently unavailable - Max Moseley's number two in command was at hand to assist the stewards on this one. Raikkonen should have been brought in under a orange and black flag to have the exhaust removed - here's what happened to it: In addition to this faux pas by the stewards, there was debris in the middle of one of the chicanes which the cars had to avoid lap after lap after lap. This could well have been the final race at Magny-Cours and I won't be sorry to see it go after this poor display of marshalling and stewardship. We were robbed of a fine race if the two McLarens were in position and not penalised - it seems everything to keep Raikkonen and Massa in the high point paying positions that could've been done was done. And this is coming from a Ferrari fan.
