| From the creators of the mesmerizing Pac-Man Championship Edition comes an equally hypnotic remix of another arcade legend: Galaga. Just as Pac-Man CE challenged the most experienced players to meltdown, Galaga Legions pushes the bug blasting theme to the absolute limit. It may look like total chaos, but when you understand you’ll feel transformed into a cosmic superbeing! That’s right.
Way back in 1981 the original Galaga broke the mould for shoot ’em ups. The enemy no longer just took its place in neat little rows waiting to be blasted into pieces. It pretended that this would be the general idea to begin with, but instead surprised everyone by flying down in hit squads to steal our precious space ships! Skillful players that had another ship left in reserve, however, could shoot down the extra-terrestrial thieves and win back their original space ship to sit alongside their current blaster for double the fire power. Genius gameplay lives forever.
This same table-turning theme returns in Galaga Legions but with plenty more besides – you will scarcely believe your own eyes! Enemies swarm onto the play area from all four sides of the screen, so you’re constantly moving to stay safe while at the same time firing into the swirling mass of alien spacecraft. However Galaga Legions isn’t about shooting stuff at random, you’re aiming for precision because this is what earns you combos and unleashes the power of special orbs to obliterate entire waves of alien invaders. New gameplay features also include remote control satellite guns for your main ship, strategically positioned to keep combos climbing while you scurry between vantage points.
