well the thing ive been disapointed with most is that i got the disc version instead of d/l of psn as i thought there were loads of vids on the blueray version but up untill yesterday their was nothin , but monday they started to open a few up on gt-tv with the first being behind the scenes with the new evo and i must admit it was worth the wait .

they must all be on the disc so they must just be opening up afew at atime but what i have read into it is that the yanks dont get the game till 19 apr so most wont get unlocked untill after that date.

like i said the first is about the new evo showing early testing and how they test it giving you loads of stats as you go tony jardine from f1 is narrating its mostly the producer of gran turismo thats driving the cars but must admit i love this kind of stuff.

then low and behold 2 more vids opened up all about the new nissan gtr which for me is now just behind ferrari as one of the most amazing production cars ever built you get to see early footage and loads of stats the the iceing on the cake a onboard lap of nurumburg which is fucking amazing .

all the vids are in hd and the picture is amazing i know this game didnt go down well at the lan but we really didnt give it much play i was bit miffed at paying £25 ( well my lad did birthday prezzie) but at the moment its looking like money well spent with the soon d/l top gear track and eps it looks like the killer car game it is muted to be .

I had a look at this (albeit briefly) at the LAN courtesy of Fezza.

Looks really great but in all honesty it wasn't significantly better visually than Forza 2 - it's not exactly putting a Da Vinci next to a child's painting as some PS3 fanboys would have us believe when it comes to comparing it's visuals to Forza 2 - the cars look marginally better though.

SCEA producer Takau Imasaki has confirmed that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue's online mode will see updates in the future that'll add in-game voice chat and private race options to the package.

Although the game will allow for 16 players to race against each other when it launches in Europe on PSN on March 27 (April 15 in the States), the online gameplay set-up options are thin on the ground.

You can only join Sony-created servers with pre-set scenarios - you can't set any gameplay options for yourself. But Imasaki promises that more options will be available - just not in time for launch.

"Private races with buddies and in-game chat are all in the works... but will not be ready from day one," Imasaki told posters on the official PlayStation blog. "Will keep you posted on the progress!" he added.

And so the package that more cynical critics call "just a demo" gets even larger.

Someone on the F1 forums I frequent is buying a PS3 and this on the strength of a Ferrari F1 car in the game .... it might sell if there are náive people about like this guy let alone the millions of fanboys about.

I can see this game turning things around for the PS3 - still too expensive for the only game I'd play (the proper F1 game with arcade handling ) though for me.

I've had a couple of singleplayer games when it eventually started it took me just over an hour with the installing and then title screen and a update message appears its makes Pc gaming look good with all installing going on...lol

Still its a good game im finding it slow paced atm though i've not got some of the more powerful cars there is in the game just yet so no doubt it'll speed the pace of the game up abit then when i do get them.

I've now had a couple of hours on the game. The first few cars you get to drive dont feel that good , but as the cars get faster you get a much better feel for the handling. One big thing I think which is missing is the lack of the vibration from the controller, this took me a while to get used to, because you dont really get a good feel of when you are at the limit.

The graphics and attention to detail speak for itself. Amazing!! .

I've looked threw the online options, and I'm unable to find a section where you can host you're own game and invite you're friends ( Which I was expecting at least ). Instead you get a choice of races, which upon joining puts you against random people. And my One and only race was extremely unclean and unenjoyable. People blocking and using cars infront as there brakes. I heard no one at all on voice comms.

The one thing I've really enjoyed is the time trial section ( Under Arcade ). Which you can scout threw the leaderboards. But this lacks the facility of being able to check you're friends best times.

I have done a couple of drift trials. And come in the top 10 on the score boards .

This game does have shed loads of potential. But the online play really is lacking in this version. Lets hope they address the friends list options, and the ability to host you're own races. These are simple things that we as Xbox Live Users expect as the norm.

*EDIT* Apparently from various sources, friends lists and the ability to host you're own games is coming in a future patch/update. Fingers crossed

really enjoying this but as pain says the installing is a pain the sp is amazing great graphics car handling is a joy way better than forza.

now the online what a bag of shite the collision detection is terrible and when you follow a car they are snaking all over the road , plus no one brakes they either ride the barrier or you.

i will try some private servers soon that maybe better.

but overall cracking game

Another reason why the ps3 is a, as jestors avatar may say, bag of shiiiiite.

the demo of GT was bobbins, can only imagine the full game is, and as for charging £20 for an extended demo? fuck off.

The system updates and installing everything takes the piss as well. Downloaded that drakes fortune demo a few weeks ago, tookroughly 20 minutes for the update to download then install, a good 3 hours for the demo to download (1gb) and then another 10 minutes for it to install. Played it for 5 minutes and deleted....

360 - download the demo in half hour, play it.

Got GT Prologue today, I've had to wait for 20 mins for it to install to the harddrive , then to top it off I need a system update which is taking ages .

Hopefully it will be worth the wait. And just to remind those with a PS3, my PSN ID: MrPa1N.

EDIT: After finally installing the game, then doing a system update which took about 30 mins. Its says I need to update the game. So in all so far 60 mins of waiting. What ever happened to putting a game in and playing???. I'll have all of 10 mins now to play it before having to go out .

I think this will be a great game in the singleplayer department. I think the one and maybe biggest problem is the online gaming setup. They will need to add a friend invite section in the game ( Same as Cod4 on Ps3 ). Otherwise is will be extremely hard to find friends and race online. Which in my opinion will be a big reason for most people to get the game ( It will be for myself ).

At the moment you cannot read a message whilst youre playing a game, or even access you're friends list whilst in a game. Which is pretty crap in my opinion. And voice comms seem in abundance. Much more work is need to make the PSNetwork a Success.

Anyway back on subject. The HD trailer looks amazing. The attention to detail is staggering. But from different articles I've read, whilst playing the game the detail will be toned down abit ( 60 Frames Per Second ), and will not be as amazing looking as the Trailer. And the replays with be full detailed ( 30 Frames Per Second ), same as the HD trailer. Just thought I'd pop that in, just as a matter of interest.

Also I think that sony releasing a prologue version is abit of a cash in, because most people who want to buy the game in the first place, will want all the cars etc, thus will buy the full version when that comes out also. This probably wont stop me from buying it, cus I'm very weak when it comes to games lol.

I got it pre-ordered at Play but tempted go with Amazon i planned on changing order to them wahile back but forgot as im bit unsure on Play arrival time on pre-orders with being jersey based ...ive played demo of jap store a few times and i managed ok to figure my way through the jap text but think the uk release is best for me.

This is for all you petrol heads out there. Is it as good as Forza 2? Well the graphics are far better on the cars, but not on the tracks them selves, there is some slow down but not alot but the handerling is subline, fantastic even orgasimtronic. There is no damage, whats going on there then? but all in all for a payable demo its very good oh and theres 16 cars on some tracks. It actually reminds me of pgr2 which i still feel was the best of the gothams if you have a ps3 and can read japanese, get it its well worth it.

Is it as good as Forza? You ask

Ill stick my neck out and because of the handerling I have to say yes yes yes
