I'm using a program called VNC to connect to my dad's computer which is 200 miles but it just not respond.. now we both have XP MCE PC's mine is behind a BT Voyager 2000 router and he is behind a NTL modem & a US robotics router.

with both router firewalls and Zone Alarm (on both machines switched off just to make sure that they are not affecting the process). i still cannot log onto is PC now does anyone have any suggestions as what i can try to see what the problem is?

Do i need to do port forwarding on the routers??
Is there likely to be a firewall on his NTL modem?
or is there any other programs that i could try (tried the windows version and that is crap).

I was just wondering who has the PC version of the game. So we could possibly get some games going online.

The PC version plays excellently online, and Im enjoying it as much as the Xbox 360 version, but without the constant lag everyones experiencing recently.

Hi.. I just need to know if i can delete IE& without screwing anything up on my pc. I have firefox and it works great. But this flippin Ie7 has a lot of updates, and i need to know if i need them. They take up a lot of memory on my pc. And i also need to know how to take them off properly. I think that i should start with the oldest update and continue to the newest. But if I do erase them will that effect firefox. All in All I just want to get rid of Ie7 and I need to know how to do it properly or if I should even do it at all.

Hi all,

I'm currently running windows Vista Premium. I'm looking for a good antivirus+firewall. Which is actually reliable and not paranoid at the same time. The Internet security software I run at the moment ( Panda Internet Security 2007 ) is not very good at all. I mainly use my pc for playing games nowadays. But this is hampered by a extremely annoying firewall which hates Punkbuster. Which sadly runs on most online games that I play.

Could anyone recommend a Good Antivirus+firewall which is vista compatible?.

I have such a game getting games to work online sometimes I feel like pulling my hair out. I'm even contemplating buying a new HD and installing Windows XP on it.

Well for the last few weeks I have had a great time playing xbox360. However, I can feel myself turning to the darkside again.

The postman has been and already loaded up the expansion and patched its up. All that needs doing now is updating my account in 14 hours. The intro video just makes you want to play this

So hopefully it will not keep me away from the 360 totally but those who play will know that it may not be easy. I will probably have to finish me proevo game with pimpstr in the Blasted Lands with rocks for goalposts and an alliance head for a ball.

All this time I've jibed the likes of pimpstr, ferrino etc for having no life spending so much time on WoW and by the look of it now LoTR. But now it looks like they may have a chance for payback. Well im now bored of this game i got 2 level 70 warrior and mage left big guilds behind got bored with them and now i got nowt to do on it so i think im hanging up my swords and wand and comin back to live

i knew the final straw came when last nite i was in southshore one shotting level 29 with mage pimpstr 33 alliance 0 it felt good though revenge was sweet

im thinking of selling the account this game has totally taken over my life need to do some driving and football and abuse ppl again my anger issues have been welled up for sooo long and if i dont get on live me thinks i will be on a gas tower with high power sniper rifle

Not really heard of this rts game but watched a developer walkthrough on gametrailers and it is looking very impressive. Those nukes in part 4 are some of the best ever seen in an rts game, the carpet bombing looks fantasic too

Dont know what requirments are for this game but they will be very high for sure.

anyone going to upgrade to Vista or wait until all the bugs have been discovered? i d/loaded a Vista compatibility utility to see if my lappy will take it and it says it will but i will need 15Gig of H/D space, i only have about 2Gig spare! ideally you need a whopping 40Gig.

there are several versions and the basic Home version doesn't have 360 support, but the next one up does, Home Essential or something like that...

i've seen adverts for Wireless Routers that are twice the speed of the current gen 54mb type, most are 108mb and some are even faster, my question is, would we gain anything from having one or would our internet connections(4mb)negate any speed gain until our pipes are widened(eventualy). theyr'e not just for the US market, they are advertised here, not too expensive either, around the £40-£80 mark...

i've been toying with the idea of getting a Skype phone as i have friends in Canada and Spain that i phone regularly and the cost is horrendous, try £8-9 for thirty minutes to Spain! i know one or two of you(Chas springs to mind) who have a Skype phone and was wondering if they are all they are cracked up to be, i.e. are the calls really free Skype to Skype, or is there some "hidden" charge i need to be aware of, like a subscription, or are they like a broadband mobile whereby you have to buy minutes or pay as you go etc...

I have been thinking of getting a Nas Enclosure since I have pretty much burned out my media PC because it was up and running 24/7 ...it actually died when I switched it off to give it rest

not sure how good the built in torrent clients are or what the going prices are at the moment.

*Already linux station but I want something small and silent which I can keep in the living room and having running 24/7.

downloaded this last night and been giving it a go today. In terms of gameplay it's obviously not that much different to BF2, but I think it's a lot of fun!

Think of halo 2 with assult rifles and some cool vehicles!

I'm not sure whether the flying vehicles are going to rule again like they did in BF2.

Just downloading the fear single player demo.

Been playing the multiplayer beta(thanks taberoo ) very nice gfx, can tell its done by monolith who did no one lives for ever 2, just plays like multiplayer even though it has a totaly different feel to it.

Cant wait to play sp demo
