Eve is probably hardest of all mmo and the most harsh....my pod is nearly 2 years old and i still sub...just gone back on a little last few months but eve is more of a timesink than most mmo due to the complexity

Sometimes with eve i dont know if im really enjoying myself or not especially if havent played for a while but most players will say you need to get into right corp thats suits you ...Im leaving the corp im in to start a small one with a few pals and just see if i can get into it again...I think rowie you hit the nail on the head reagarding if you like sci fi or fantasy swords/etc ....which I do so im still playing LOTRO its a stunning looking game nothing really new but nothing wrong with it.

With blizzard due to announce thier next next gen mmo , bioware rumored to be working on KOTOR online and bethesda doing elder scroll online...In a few years time I think these might eventually topple WOW

Im still playing, though not as often as i like at the min with so many decent 360 games out there, playing on snowbourne with mostly with my main 'Neek' a Lvl43 Hobbit Burglar, i think its a gem of a game especially of your into the LOTR universe/lore

LOL Gorf!!.... my subs run out on the 11th..... i keep trying EvE (my main char is now 2.5yrs old but i play it for the 1st week then spend the other 3 just logging in to set the training.... cant be arsed PvP as there is just wayyy too much to loose to be arsed getting back x million ISK worth of ship etc.....

i do like it and keep renewing my subs every so often....... but ultimately i am a fantasy rpg geek

Yeah i was on the beat for this it is a good game and i really did like the titles touch and enjoyed passing time trying to craft my own things and just enploring there take on the world of Tolkien am hoping to get the full game eventually but not until i get a solid internet connection

Im sooo adicted already, even with the loading screens for inns etc, for me it just seems like WoW just more complete, i think the quest structures are better(so far anyhow?) and the deeds title is an awesome touch, graphics are so much better also, ive only a few niggles which are probably due to the fact that im still new to the game, my main one is trying to find inns/trainers/etc on a map, unless im stood right next to them there impossible to find, me and ryan were running around for 30 min last night looking for an inn before we give up apart from that AWESOME i think we need more myxbox involved

I was very let down with d and d scouse but LOTRO has given me the bug. Its a very good game: graphics are fantastic and it is very tolkenesq not all that wow grinding crap.

This was of course tempting because I am right into the books and really enjoyed the movies too - however Turbine developed Dungeons and Dragons online ...

If this has portals to walk into buildings then no for me - for all it's sins WoW only had portals for moving into instances and to segregate gaming areas from non-expansion owners.

D&D Online had portals for going into inns, going downstairs etc

And it was jerky on a PC which can run more recent games smoothly.

When i first got it i had it on medium settings and it was jerky and i had one gig of ram in my pc so i went and got my self 2 gig of ram and the game runs so much better but i have to have it in medium but theres no jerkyness now.

I need to update my graphics card at the minute i have a nvidea geforce 6600 GT and if i set it to high or very high the game looks so much better but i can not move about with out all the stuttering so atm i'll just keep on medium and hopfully will be updating graphics card later in the year.

So i think if you get an extra gig of ram it will help a lot as i know it did for me and jestor and also strat

Out of interest what spec machines are you running it off to get awesome graphics....im running on p4 3ghz, 1gb RAM, geforce 6200 (512md int mem) and it still seems to be jumpy, also when i optimize settings it sets it to low, is my computer that outdated??.....Also im now known as Neek the Wary lol

Was tempted but still playing world of Warcrap as Jestor describes it. In a much more relaxed guild now so its fun again a bit like the old clagnuts.

You never know what the futre holds though and I know that its the sort of game I could quickly get in to.

Love the game every night I have a little sex wee hope to see a few more of you guys on this game because it is that good. It is such a shame because I want to play so many different games but this is taking over my life. It is far better than warcrap not as much grinding and you get a real sense of being in a fellowship. Guys try this out if you can you wont be dissapionted and remember if you join the what a carry on clan you need a carry on name. I think flan should be known as private widdle.

Dunno why but i chose Neek as my name (actually it was because a van drove by with tec-neek written on it, lame i know ) just started the game but it seems very jumpy to me, i must have some setting wrong, graphics are set to low and still jumpy??, anyway will hopefully see you guys online

we are on snowbourn server and the kinship name is What a carry on (we all named after carry on people)

Im Hengistpod , jestor is rumpokid , taber is vicflange and strat is joshfiddler

So if you come on give us a shout.

Also i think chas is matron but i am not sure that he has been on for a while (but im sure he will let us know in this thread)

The pack with the lifetime subscription sells for between £150 to £180 and is called the collecters edition but not sure if there is any left (sure you could find one somewhere)

Othere wise you have to pay each month but atm they doing lifetime subs on the lotro site but they are £150 and you would have to buy the game aswell which is about £30.

if you gonna play some time then life sub is good thing as for me i was on wow for 2 years and i think i must have spent with the game and expansion about £300 so for me i thought it was worth getting the collecters

I played for 10 days. As a lvl 60 ex WoW player...I loved it. The UI and certain parts of teh game can be...well...very similar. But it's a whole new planet to explore - loads of new areas etc....

If I had the time to put in to get my moneys worth on the monthly subs I would get this - I liked it as much as WoW in the time I played it...jsut don't have enough time to commit to it

What i found with WoW also was that even though i payed 8.99 subscription this saved me money as i usually got about 2-3 360 games a month, so its a way of saving money imo

I got this along with jestor taber and strat , i got the 10 day pack befor it was released and then bought the collecters edition with the life time subscription.

I stopped playing wow not long after the burning crusade was released and was not going to get this as wow took over my life and i didn't want the same to happen.

But really pleased i got it and it is like wow in some ways but not in others (dosn't seem to be as much grinding).

So imo if you liked wow then you will like this and if you do get it we are on the snowbourn server.

After 6 months without any WoW i feel the need to try another MMORPG, just read a review in a magazine and it gave it 9/10, thinking about buying it but i thought id see if anyone else has tried it first? Anybody???
