I am on Battlescar PVP server - someone tried to kill me in the underhalls which was funny - thought it was a mob at first as there are loads of them down there.

Needless to say I had great pleasure delivering a beatdown.

we ended up changing to another server SK as fury was an early access server so got full fast, we have gone to soulstorm

the pvp is very ffa ....at moment everyone still on the island so you get the snot kicked out of you reguarly

I rolled a player on Fury Jest0r but I keep getting queues to login - going to have to stick to the server I am on.

I'll probably not be getting too into this it's too jerky and unplayable when there's a lot going on - nothing to do with the game my PC is getting on a bit - and to be fair I did expect it.

Shame as it's very good.

Yeah im still loving this.... though i have a few niggles...

1 - Chat is awfull, when recieving a 'tell' they are easily missed due to not having sound. And also who the hell chose grey for chat colour, i can hardly read it and have to look to the sky so i have a dark background to read it on.

2 - Map - my map is always turning grey with only icons remaining making it near impossible to find things, also when in groups, other members appear as only tiny dots making it easy to loose each other.

3- instanced - the instanced areas wind me up and you can be stood in the same place as your friends but not actually see them!

But apart from that its amazing, the graphics are as good as anything out there, as the combat is a great leap forward. Not tried any PvP yet as im only lvl24 but looking forward to that. Whats it like playing on the PvP server? do you get ganked every 2 minutes?

If anyone is going on a Pve server, im on Ymir

A bit dark but here's my player in progress - thought I'd try this for a month or two:

I was disappointed in the amount of kids playing it though I must admit - and judging by the type of chat going on they were mostly drooling WoW refugees - I hope they go back to WoW and soon - this one doesn't have thottbot yet and you have to actually work something out I was half especting to read "How do I turn my computer on?" in the chat it was getting that bad!!

Barrens chat is now renamed Age of Conan before 6pm chat

My PC does struggle with it but it's playable - the graphics engine keeps the fps going nice at the expense of texture detail so if you're running on an elderly PC you'll get plain walls suddenly becoming highly detailed as you watch.

Graphics and Sound are lightyears better than WoW.

Movement and combat is better too I feel - the climbing and sprinting are good additions as are the finshing moves when in combat.

Load times are much worse than WoW however and the game needs to load a fair amount of times too.

One thing I really did like was the inventory overflow buffer - if you're bags are full and you can't accept a quest reward it goes into this area and as soon as you've made room you can move the items from the buffer into your inventory - saves you having to drop stuff to make room for the quest reward.

It's early days and it does have it's problems but so did WoW.

Great to play in the Conan world but I doubt I'll get as addicted to this as I did with WoW.

getting new p.c btw 4quad core

2x nvidea8800 sli gfx cards in total alot of money but hey i have stopped smoking so will invest wisely

Does look like a good game but still talking myself out of getting it as these sort of games allways end up taking over my life and i just seen what spec pc you need to run it and i thought mine was ok until i saw you need 30gig of hard drive space and i only got 20 left (surely this is a mistake).

cant wait to get in on this with the donny posse, once i get my new pc that is, as a p4 2.67ghz just dont cut it no more

those who played it any chance of a mini review or more first impressions particulary on the magic combat side and mobs encountered so far? and finally is it a great leap on wow or would you put it on a par?

played in the closed beta for awhile but the amount of zoning and loading screens and patching.... all got abit too much...

if i want pvp i'll go play guild wars tbh.... think i'll give this a miss and wait for Warhammer Online, now that is one MMO i'm eagerly expecting!!

yeah i eventually got in, on ymir(i think) server, loving it so far got to lvl 13, i think the real time combat works amazingly, so its goodbye life hello hyboria...

Looks interesting but I doubt my PC would handle it - it's a pity because I am a big fan of the Conan character through the books and movies.

Anyone going to play this with taber and myself waiting for it to start now and getting a bit pissed off, oh by the way its real time combat. Ferino says hes not getting it but Blair said Saddam had wepons of mass destruction.

Anyway we are going to try and get on the fury PVP server if anyone wants to come and hold our hands.
