sorry i didnt join you last night chas i hadnt been on for so long once i put cod4 disk into 360 i had a flood of invites so it was a case of i couldnt please everyone, i will join you for some tonite though if your about if were gonna play this ED tourney thingy we could do with some tactics or sommit

thanx for the advice, will giv it a try, i hav tried the claymores all over and c4 but sniper rifle is only weapon I have, even treid to get an ak from a close up dead enemy but get shot in the process, lol

i just ran staraight thru' the middle, towards the bottom of the map, into the building that looks like one of the flats in the multiplayer level "Blok", it worked for me. it might take a couple of attempts, but it only takes about 30 secs in game...

The cowards way...

Hold your ground until their helicopters arrive (as per MGs advise)

When the helicopters arrive, run towards the far building (opposite the feros wheel). Keep that building on your left and run to the corner and turn left. Down the end of this alley there is a door/passageway to the right. You can hide in here until your chopper arrives (May have to shoot a couple of enemies whilst waiting). Once your chopper arrives get to your mate (you will need to be quick), pick him up and get him onboard.

May take a few goes but this is the only way I could do it on Veteren.

On the ferris wheel part i just kept gunning them down but towards the end it got overun so i ended up lied in far corner in the ticket hut ended up shooting them as they tried get in and throwing the odd nade out until the heli appeared then i made a run and gun move straight too it

At the end of that level, use all your claymores in a line infront and to the side of you, as some of the enemies come up behind the ferris wheel. and just wait. Hopefully you will have picked up one of the enemies AKs, so if they get a little too close for comfort you can stop taking pot shots with your sniper rifle and take em down quick.

well i cant complete it at all, Im stuck at the end of the sniper level getting attacked by dogs & soldiers & nades, tryin to hide behind ferris wheel waiting for air support i think, not even tried it 4 a while, given it up as a bad job

much prefer playing on live anyhow

ps, had sum fabulous games recently, rly think this is gonna be tough to beat, cant wait for new maps!!

It can be done, just keep an eye on everything throughout the game and try different approaches to the task. The hardest part is to rescue the hostage on the plane at the end on veteran, 60 secs to do it in, yeah sure.

well just when i thought i was getting the hang of this game i get a night like last night. there i was trying to use my usual hiding places and taking out a few ENEMIES at a time and minding my own business when Chas decides to blow me up with a dropped grenade (where have a heard that before). not content with doing it the once chas does it a further 3 times. Dante blows me up 3 times and MG decided to go for a head shot (but i did get him with a RPG).

Well i was surprised that my final score on all of them games stayed above 0.

but still had to laugh about though i've just got to be careful who i stand next to now or risk getting shot by enemies and team mates

sounds like i missed out on a good session, but i was away with the missus for a romantic night in a hotel, the things we do in the line of duty!

as for owning me with the sniper rifle MG, any tnuc can hide in the corner of the map. when you crawl out from under your rock into the daylight and attend a LAN, i'm going to shave all your frizzy hair off and stick it up your lilly white ass(you can write a song about it if you like)followed by your sniper rifle, sideways...

I think this is the first game where it has been a laugh playing it everytime i go on line. The Yanks get a bit irritating when they win but the barrage of abuse that they get from Dante and Fezza more than makes up for it.

I know that we don't get any points when we do a private match, but you can shout abuse, f**k about and not really get ridiculed at the end of it.

the later games that i had i was switched over to the other side and i had to listen to bollocks that they come out with....... some bloke was even moaning about being shot !?!?!?!?!?

Superb games over the weekend and getting more addictive the more times the disc goes in the 360.......

good games agian last night i think i saw the bad the good and the ugly on cod last night , the good some good tense games the bad mouthy yanks and all out war on death match which was shite , and the ugly being pestered by an 11yrd to be my new buddy and for the rest of my so called friends taking the piss constently all night .
it got to a stage were they all changed the clan tag to {feza} barstards .

In the games we had last night, I didnt take offense at being abused, I rather enjoyed that lol . I was more bothered that I had offended/ruined someone else's game. Which will never be my intention.

Aye, had a good few games last night.

Highlights include owning Flan with my sniper rifle, one of which was a sweet headshot, while he was sprinting over to the bus.

Also, on the last match of the night were i got 21 kills for 9 deaths. most of which were on Chas, poor bloke just couldnt help running into my mini uzis path.

Well that was until the FFA Hardcore mode. Where someone said I was pissing them off ( Not 100% who it was that I'd upset, cus no speech thing comes up on Hardcore modes ), this was because I was using a handgun ( Gold Desert Eagle ). My intentions are never to upset anyone . This incident kinda killed the night for me.

Anyways on a lighter note, Fezza I'm glad you enjoyed playing the real "game of the year" tonight mate. I think if you stick with it more. Build you're own arsenal of weapons and perks up, you'll find it even better.

I really enjoyed the games we had last night. It was the first time in about 2 weeks that I'd even tried to join a game on Xbox LIVE. But in the main everything seemed to be running fine. And 75% of the time our team won ( Using team work and good communications ).

And Middle I agree learning the maps is key to doing well in this game, also I find a little patience and thought works a treat ( I.e listening for footsteps/gunshots before moving out of cover ). Also I find Cod4 is a game of confidence. If you've got confidence in the weapon and perks you're using it seems to make the game a whole lot easier.

Hopefully catch you all online again very soon for some more games

Really starting to enjoy this game. ok sometimes it gets frustrating, but everybody has their bad days. with the promotions up the ranks it becomes a lot more easier with the different perks that you get.

JOE it's all a bit pot luck if you got shot wondering down a side street you just don't do it again. You learn to sneek up the same street.

Learning the maps is the first thing i'm trying to do then i know where i can hide if everything goes pear-shaped..

I still have alot to learn with this game as i am still managing to get cornered a few times with the people on line..... and with flan saying he could hear the footsteps I turned the sound system up and then you learn to be a sneeky barstard. But like most games you have to learn the little things to try and last a bit longer....

i learnt that with me just wondering around like a pissed sailor it gave the other team chance to score some easy points with my head being to easy target.. (think that is why some of them won as well)....

Plus the weapons at the start are shit which doesn't help, but being promoted above the rank of "CANNON FODDER" you tend to start getting decent weapons...

The games that i played last night were the best i've played yet, but getting sick and tired of the connection keep dropping, and only able to connect to certain people. i try to connect to the session in progress but keeps coming up with unable to connect to host !!!!

If i keep playing games/maps like i did last night then i'm going to love this game!!!!!!

call of duty reminds me of the that movie 'The Truman show'. All the characters stand in position waiting fo you to arrive, then they start running around and blowing doors open. I really noticed it on second play through.

great to see you finaly join the cannon fodder, great games last night, with Madmiddle learning the painful way, team hardcore! friendly fire was a term he picked up very quickly with me, Dante and Pitiful Duke willing to share our bullets with everybody. Chas was up to his usual tricks with "dropped" greneades, i was on the receiving end when he died beside me and "martyred" me...
