Control Panel, Edit Signature, Click on HTML on the bottom of the window delete any text in the window and paste in the line bellow inserting your gamertag where it says insertgamertaghere. Click on Update as many times as it takes for the xbox signature to appear in the Prieview box, usually twice.

<iframe src="http://gamercard.xbox.com/insertgamertaghere.card" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" height="140" width="204"></iframe>

If you have any spaces in your gamertag, replace them with a %20. So Major Nelson's gamertag would need this code to share his gamer card:

<iframe src="http://gamercard.xbox.com/ Major%20Nelson.card" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" height="140" width="204"></iframe>

If you re-read Pirrie's post, that's %20 for the space code not 20%, I've sorted it for you and not even mentioned the word muppet once....
