the same has happened to me, those dam red lights. getting very, very annoyed with this now. there shouldn't be problems with new consoles! they should of been tried and tested until they brake in the factory.

also, i bought mine of comet.com, will i be able to do a straight swap? and i also want to get the premium pack, instead of the the core pack.

I work for ups, if i got a  £1 for every faullty 360 i have collected i could retire.     On the positive side they only seem to take around 3 days before they get them back.

really weird. Since i went into game and they said they'd do a straight swap nothings gone wrong with mine. I'm waiting for the next incident before I take it in. Who wants to bet it will be the day after 12 months warranty is up!!!

im on my 3rd 360 the 1st kept freezing and scratch a few of my games and i took it back to game and then they exchanged it for a new one and replaced the scratched games. the 2nd  kept coming up with an error message and i also had the 3 red lights and kept havig to reboot it 2 or 3 times before it would work properly. again game changed it again for me. what would we do without game. im now on my third and everything seems ok. touch wood.

i had the red lights of doom.. got on phone to ms support straight away and they mailed me the pre paid label to stick on box, packed 360 up and dhl collect next day at 2pm. i didnt send my hd back cause didnt fancy loosing all my hardwork,would of been gutted to have a blank hd come back. any way i got a brand new console week later!  i was well impressed with the service to be honest.

But i couldnt wait a week so i went and brought another premium pack with GRAW and tomb raider next day, put my old hd on that and works a treat.. now we have two 360's on live,the mrs's 14yr old son has one of them..

Well, I've got the 3 red lights. Sigh. And with SF2 round the corner, I'm a bit upset.

This exchange with Game sounds almost too good to be true. Is a reciept needed to exchange or is it a simple case of "Hello Mr Game Man. Can you change this broken 360 for a working one?" I'm guessing, because got mine from Argos they wouldn'tdo it and I would up that certain creek without a paddle.

Also, when phoning Customer Support, would I have to give a lot of info first or just say that my 360 isn't working and can they send the needed forms to get a replacement.

Cheers for any info possible

Ive neglected my 360 over the past month (due to WoW), i came to play it the other day and it keeps freezing....although i get no red lights of doom.....called microsoft and they want me to send it in...without the hdd cos it still crashes when i remove it. Just wondering if gamestation do the straight swap thing (i got it in december???).. if so do u think they would let me keep my hdd as there are a lot of save games i dont want to loose....mainly oblivion(75hrs down the drain)
