| | hey, bought a wii by accident on Thursday. They happened to have one left in Woolworths when I was waiting for the bus so I bought it! So far Sophie has spent around 10 hours playing it compared to my one! Just got wii sports atm, any other games I should be buying at the moment? Thanks Nick

| Ok then, heres my actual opinion 
Wiis are fun for a couple of days, as a throwaway thing. There are no really good games, the consoles first game for mature gamers, Red Steel, is a pain to play, isnt that good and although graphics arent the be all and end all, its hard to justify paying the price of a Wii to play a Gamecube FPS with a DVD remote.
The fact that the adverts for it show very little of any actual games and more the people (usually women and older people, not your typical 'gamer' demographic) playing it with hollywood smiles on their faces is also a bit concerning.
Look at the adverts for 360 games - lots of in game footage, lots of action and gives you an idea of "that will be cool to play" rather than the Wiis "this is how much fun you will have playing Tennis! LOL!"...which is true, but after a day or two of playing it, then its a bit rubbish.
The same can also be said about Golf, which is now pretty much being rereleased for fullprice with Tiger Woods face on the box.
Well done to nintendo for doing something different, but they made the control system TOO different to be any good with....well, any game thats worth playing for more than a week, add into that the frustratingly bad online system and the rigma role it takes to get friends on it to avoid kids having peadophiles talk to them (probably)..yet youre freely available to go onto the internet and look at hardcore porn, I know, Ive done it on me mates Wii, is frankly shocking.
So, are there any games worth buying for the Wii?

| The problem is you're not really the right person to answer the question though MG. Not saying you're not entitled to an opinion, which of course you are, but the Wii wasn't really aimed at young single adults who generally just want to kill/destroy things. You're not really in the demographic the adverts or console are aiming at so it's not really suprising you're complaining about the adverts and there's nothing on the console that really interests you. For good family fun the Wii is great, for some serious gaming it's the 360 all the way. You won't find my family crowding round the console to have a good family game of GRAW2, my missus has absolutely no interest in the 360. The Wii is a completely different story though. Anyway back on topic, adding to what r0wie said, Rayman went down well in this household too.

| Thats the thing though, if im not part of their target audience, why release Godfather, Red Steel, any Resident Evil game, Manhunt 2, Scarface?
Surely they would just keep to their major audience and know that people such as myself wont be interested enough in the console to warrent getting the games?
Is Res 5 even coming out for it or are Capcom releasing some rehash of one of the older titles?
Edit: just asked my Ninty fanyboy mate and apparently Wii owners WILL have the pleasure of buying Res 4, the PS2 version, with some wavey magic stick controls.
...how some comapnies get away with this ill never know...
