It depends on what the problem is, the 3 year warranty is supposed to only apply if you get 3 red lights, other problems are only covered by the 1 year warranty, although I know people have had other repairs done for free if they complain loudly enough.

just try and make sure you get three red lights then...should be simple enough without opening the actual thing and voiding warrenty

oh its the 3 red lights no warning this time was just about to sit down for a friday night sesh. It came on once but as I was in the process of moving stuff about it went again.

Used the MS site to register the box I have had this one just under 12 months. It said it was in warranty and let me book the repair FOC just have to wait now !

My lauch console went just after two years, but I had my Elite by then (by two days). One red light, graphics output chip ASA/HASA. Wife bought an Arcade 360 (old core system) and used the hard drive on it.

The Arcade 360 comes with five arcade games, 256MB memory card, a wireless controller and HDMI, just not the headset and HD. Deffinately worth buying as a replacement to save some cash if your 360 is not under warenty.

What hs annoyed me is the fact that it I had a launch model it went last Jan so at that time it was out of waranty (this is beore the 3 year thing started!)

So I coughed up the cash and sent it off. Now the unit that I received back was not my origibal machine SN was different. Now when I registed that box with MS it shows as a repair and a 1 year warranty. Surely it should be 3 years from date of repair/ recon model ?

Just want me machine back and working was just getting into Burnout Paradise and it will be old by the time I get the machine back
