| Who’s better: pirates or ninjas? It’s a question that has divided countless playgrounds over the generations and which this week’s Xbox LIVE Arcade game hopes to resolve via the medium of Dodgeball. Hey, what else?

In Pirates vs Ninjas Dodgeball you get to choose between a squad of Pirates, Ninjas, Robots or Zombies and battle it out with nothing less deadly than a bouncy rubber ball to decide once and for all who rules.
You’ll get to play through each team’s unique storyline, discovering the dark history behind their rivalries while knocking each other senseless on court. But such is the path to ultimate glory.
With four unique arenas to battle on, online multiplayer matches for up to eight and a raft of powerful special abilities, melee attacks, and vomit-inducing throws to perform this is the game to sort the pirates from the ninjas. Or should that be the ninjas from the pirates? Ach, you decide.
If you’re the kind of player who prefers to take down opponents with laser cannons then this week’s other XBLA release, Shred Nebula, is just the ticket.
An Asteroids-style top-down shooter it’s your job to pilot the experimental RIP. Rocket in search of the Lost Expedition – a group of cruiser ships and crews that went missing 12 years ago. Nobody has ever returned from such a quest, we’re ominously warned.
There are three modes of play available: Adventure, which offers up 22 levels of frenetic shooting, Score Attack, which challenges you to overcome 100 weaves of enemy fighters and Multiplayer where players pick one of eight ships and dogfight to establish who’s king of the cosmos.
Shred Nebula and Pirates vs Ninjas Dodgeball blast onto Xbox LIVE Arcade from September 3rd, price 800 MS Points each. Go get ‘em!
I may be shit, but i'm enjoying myself !!!

| | Got the demo and can't say I was particularly impressed - mind you, I can't stand dodgeball. Murderball was much better .... this picking up and throwing the ball instead of hoofing it as hard as you can is for pansies
